Meat Buyer's Club

  • Devon, a "Heritage Breed," are one of the oldest cattle breeds in existence today. They were the cattle brought to this country by the Pilgrims in 1623, because their hardy foraging abilities fit the uncertain grass conditions of the Plymouth colony.

  • The "feedlot craze" of the 20th Century made Devon diminish in numbers, but consumer's recent demand for the healthier profile of grass-fed beef and the growing movement towards sustainable farming, keeps the breed relevant and in demand early in the 21st Century.

  • Grass-fed beef has 1/3 the cholesterol levels, 3-5 times more CLA (conjugated linoleic acid, a fatty acid essential to human health) and 2-4 times more omega-3 fatty acids, then grain-fed cattle.

  • It is estimated 60% of Americans don't consume an adequate supply of omega-3 fatty acids, which are important for healthy brain and strong heart functions.

  • Our 100% grass-fed beef is rich in Vitamin E, we use no growth hormones, no antibiotics and in the course of its life, the animal is raised on pasture, handled by about 5 people, processed only 19 miles from our farm and delivered straight to you. It doesn't get any closer to the source then that!

All meat is fresh frozen, grass-fed and organically raised, in a variety of standard cuts, including, but not limited to; London Broil, Porterhouse Steaks, T-bone Steaks, New York Strip Steaks, Delmonico Steaks, Sirloin Steaks, Filet Mignon, Chuck Roasts, hamburger, etc. (not all selections have all cuts)

Bare Foot Organics @ Greystone Farm and Bare Foot Organics @ Landisdale Farm, raise Devon Cattle on grass and forage. The herd is never given additional hormones, never given antibiotics and is never fed animal by-products. Once each individual animal reaches a live weight of approximately 1000-1300 pounds, it will be harvested, processed, wrapped, flash frozen and transported, from our farm, to your family.
